The Great Atlanta Blizzard of 2010

Last week there was talk of a TERRIBLE storm making its way toward the greater Atlanta area.  They said 1, possibly 2, inches of snow...we were shaking in our shoes...scary stuff, yah right?!?  Well, for around here it was big stuff.  Schools closed early on Thursday in anticipation of the impending storm and just reopened today (Tuesday).  As a side note...the Singleton school remained in session, that's just how dedicated we are here :).

In Canton, we received around 1/2-1inch of the fluffy stuff (not really that fluffy) and it barely made the grass white.  However, that didn't dampen the kids' excitement or the fun we had.  They got more muddy than snowy on Thursday afternoon, but Friday was full of sledding.  Britt and I did all the grunt work since there really wasn't enough snow to get a good run...can you say sore the next day...ouch!

At the top of the driveway ready to go...

The end of the ride...

Now our yard is back to brown, but the kids are looking forward to the next "Georgia Blizzard."
